We Headed Back North - Now in Pollock, Idaho

OOPs, wrong way! We left Huntington, Oregon this morning and head north again.  This time we drove north on Route 95 into Idaho and north to Pollock and we are staying at Canyon Pines RV Resort.  We had been here 4 years ago, loved being on the Little Salmon River but this time - Wow!  We got a pull through right on the water, and we face the river.  Looking out our back window - river.  And the sound - lovely!!!  Over the years we have been in contact with the Evans' and wanted to come back here to see more of Hells Canyon, which is number one priority for visiting.  But the improvements that the Evans family has made - terrific!  They had just purchased the park 4 years ago and we can see so many things they have done.  Great to be back.

We're back!
Wonder how far we could see
Weiser River

Our drive was pleasant, nothing wrong with the RV and Buddy was drugged up and had no accidents, so life is good. Drove through the Payette National Forest and in and out of small towns along the way.  Took us about 2 1/2 hours from the time we left Catfish Junction RV park to when we pulled in here, 113 miles.  Not bad.

Moving up into the mountains

And we have arrived!
Tomorrow we will go visit the Forest Service office and get info on how to best see Hells Canyon -if we could drive straight west, we would be right at Hells Canyon Creek Dam that we visited a couple of days ago, and to get some more hiking trails.  This area is very pretty, lots for the outdoorsy person to do - camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, all kinds of winter sports (Canyon Pines is open all year - brrrrr!), and they say they are busy all year.  Good for them!!

Will stay here for a week before we REALLY make the turn to head back to Arizona.
