Our objective while being in Cheyenne was to get repairs done to the RV and car. We had a ding in the windshield of the car and over this summer the ding became a crack and grew. Time to get that done. Satellite Auto Glass came out this morning and I took pictures of the process, never having to replace a windshield before. Very interesting. After the car was done the technician came into the RV and we had a slider window that the mechanism had come off, not being able to open/close the window. And of course, it's the biggest window! A quick caulking with some type of glue and we are good to go.

So nice not to have a crack! |
Around 1pm a mobile repair RV service came to us. When we were in Casper last week their water pressure was very high. Highest we have ever experienced. We noticed the day before we left that our fresh water tank was being filled up without us filling it. How did that happen? Seems the city water that was coming into the RV was so pressurized that it 'blew' past the water pump and built in check-valve and was filling it up, and overflowing under the rig. We have limped along with using up the fresh water that is in the tank, not even connecting the city water. That's okay and functional but we were afraid of burning up the pump, using it so long a duration.
All things fixed and holding. Good thing is that if the water fix is not holding, the repair service will come back out. We have 2 more days here before heading to a campground about 30 miles south of Denver to visit family and with the buffer of the 2 days, we should know if things are good.
We are staying at the Terry Bison Ranch which was established back in 1881, one of the largest bison (buffalo/tatanka) ranches in the US. At one time the ranch was 5 times the size as it is now, and now is 27,500 acres. With over 2,700 bison roaming the ranch, the Thiel family also has ostriches, pigs, alpacas, goats, camels (huh?), horses, sheep and so many others. They used to breed and raise sheepdogs that were nationally acclaimed. This ranch has so many things - a railroad that takes guests around to view the animals, horseback riding, ATV rental and tours, 3 restaurants - 1 being a renowned bison steak house, party room, convention room, cabins/RV spaces to rent which is open all year. Lots to do, but we only wanted to get our repairs done! Now we can go sightsee Cheyenne.

Breakfast and dinner train rides, too! |

About 40 bison roam nearby, rest are 'out there somewhere' |
