Fun Weekend with Family!

Yesterday morning we drove north to a small soccer park in Littleton, Colorado to watch Cody whip the pa-too-ties of another team.  I think the final was 13-4?  So fun to watch their little legs run, run, run and then dribble the ball near the goal and then stop and forget to kick it in.  What a hoot!  Down they run to the other goal and all these little legs and feet frantically kicking to get the ball into the goal.  Kids looked like they were having fun, although tough to keep them focused.  While Cody was playing, Imana kept Dave busy with play.  She was so excited to see us and would not let us out of her field of vision.
Cody - far right - in action
Imana fell in love with Dave
They are this close to the Rocky Mountains!
After the game we drove back to Caryn and Scott's house to visit.  They have a beautiful home with a complete living quarters in the lower level also where Emily and Cody and Imana live.  A great set-up for all.  They want to do some remodeling and have asked an architect for input.  And while we were there, Dave also went over the plans with them in detail and thought all was duable.  Would be fun to see the progress if we get a chance to come back this way next year.

Imana just loved this
Duck races
Today, Sunday, they all ventured to us to visit.  We were so lucky when we made the reservations for this campground.  This weekend started the pumpkin patch activities.  So many things to do!  And the cost to go to this was free if we were camping here.  How great is that?  After having a quick lunch we went to the pumpkin patch and I got a little nervous - not a lot of people.  However, I am a nosy person and asked a staff member about attendance.  The first weekend is very slow, the second weekend is double what is here now, but after that - thousands of people come.  Parking becomes limited, waiting to do an activity sometimes is painful for kids to wait, and just plain busy.
Not sure who was having more fun - Mom or Cody?
Gourd toss
Imana so drawn to the animals
Cody lassoed himself a steer - Yee haw!
Imani's face - - sheer joy, Cody's - I am fierce!
Petting farm, Jango game, stilts, gourd toss, bubble jump, face painting, laser tag, water races with rubber ducks, swings, climbing hay, hay rides, slides, corn box (was so relaxing to step in this - so soothing!), maze, and so much more.  What a great day!  Can't say enough - were we lucky or what to be able to be here, able to go to the pumpkin patch, AND, get to see and be with family.  Fun, exhausting weekend.
