Made the move this morning from Wells, Nevada to Fort Hall, Idaho. We are camping at the Fort Hall Casino, on the Bannock-Shoshone Indian Reservation, in Fort Hall. Very easy drive. The folks in Nevada are serious about making sure their deer migration herds are not killed by cars/trucks - and we saw 3 migration passes as we headed north from Wells on Route 93. Passed through Jackpot where we have stayed before, and then crossed into Idaho.

Purple flowers lined Route 93 for many miles |
Once we got into Twin Falls which was about 65 miles north from where we started the morning out, we jumped on Interstate 84 heading east. The day's weather was for high winds by mid - afternoon, and fortunately for us the winds were on our backside. Pushed us for most of the day. And, got the best gas mileage we have ever had - 9.74 mpg. Wish the wind was behind us for the rest of the trip!

Crossed over the Snake River in Twin Falls - notice waterfall to right? |

Crossed Snake River again in American Falls |
Passed over the Snake River a number of times and knew we were on the route that the Oregon Emigrants and the California Emigrants traveled, keeping the Snake River near as they traveled westbound. Once we reached American Falls, we headed north and eventually picked up Interstate 86.

Cough, cough, cough! |
|
American Falls Reservoir - really big! |
The Snake River has a huge reservoir in American Falls and that reservoir is one of the biggest we have seen. A truck passed us, hauling a utility cart behind it and once it stepped on the gas, the black smoke coming out was so thick we could not see in front of us. Kinda scared us.

Campground is behind casino. Our home for a few days |
Continued north into Pocatello and picked up Interstate 15 heading north. Fort Hall (Indian Reservation) is about 8 miles north of Pocatello. We will use these next couple of days to get the car tuned up, do some shopping and see what else there is to see.
